EMD upload error: uploadXMLFiles skipped :: OMS version not checked yet

if you encounter the following status

Agent is Running and Ready

to fix it do the following

– emctl stop agent
– delete all files in $AGENT_HOME/sysman/emd/upload and $AGENT_HOME/sysman/emd/state
– emctl clearstate agent (this should delete all state files but sometimes it is not enough, but I experienced that it is better to use this command after deletion of the files)
– emctl secure agent (and specify the password on demand)
– emctl start agent

 

If you get the following errors in the emagent.trc file


2012-02-02 10:22:49,970 Thread-58 ERROR pingManager: Did not receive valid response to ping "ERROR-Agent is blocked. Blocked reason is: Agent is out-of-sync with repository. This most likely means that the agent was reinstalled or recovered. Please contact an EM administrator to unblock the agent by performing an agent resync from the console. Please contact EM adminstrator to unblock the agent"

do the following

Login to Grid Console as sysman user

Navigate to Setup > Agents > [Click on problematic Agent name].

In Agent home page click on “Resycnhronize” Button on right hand top of the page. Choose the ‘Unblock Agent’ option and click [Continue].

Ensure that the Agent is up and running when attempting the Re-synchronization.

Once the re-sycnchronization is completed successfully, the Agent should be able to communicate with the OMS:
