Rman

is also able to check the database for block and logical corruptions and fix any problem encountered

{allocate channel disk1 device type disk ;
allocate channel disk2 device type disk ;
backup validate check logical database;}

select count(*) from v$database_block_corruption;

RMAN> blockrecover corruption list;
